Celebrating the UK Team and 2024 Achievements

On Tuesday, December 17, our President, Claus Heuschmid, made a special trip to our sites in the UK. Notably during the visit, Claus met with employees and shared a meal with key leaders, marking his first visit to these locations in quite some time.

During the UK tour, Claus visited the Derby site-best known around Harsco for managing Harsco’s Stoneblower contract, the Eastwood site, and the Sherwood site. Claus shared his enthusiastic feedback, praising the team’s strong collaboration, leadership, and positive atmosphere- “I had a great day with our Contracted Services team in the UK,” adding that meeting the employees on-site in Eastwood, Sherwood, and Derby was inspiring and he was left feeling deeply impressed by the team’s passion, professionalism, and engagement.

The UK team’s exceptional performance in managing one of our largest contracts, under the leadership of Dave Marsh, won the UK Contracted Services team a prestigious IMPACT Award in 2024, an achievement hosted by Enviri. This exciting and honorable recognition reflects their commitment to excellence across multiple sites.

Claus ended the day with a message for the employees of Eastwood, Sherwood, and Derby: “I really thank all of you and wish you some great Christmas Holidays! I look forward to meeting you next year!” The UK Team’s commitment to excellence, collaboration, and innovation are the direct contributors to Harsco’s success. Happy holidays to all!
